Hands-on Workshop at Evolution of TC 2024:
How to Animate Simplified Graphics and Screenshots
In this workshop you will learn about the use cases for simplified (SUI) graphics for TC, and then practice with various tools and techniques to turn these simplified screenshots into moving, impactful animations that can be used across many languages and instances.
To fully participate in the hands-on workshop on June 5th, you will need to bring your own laptop and should complete the steps below in advance. Please also note the information in the FAQ section further down on this page.
1. Download, install and activate the Camtasia 2023 or 2024 trial version.

2. Launch the software and register for a free user account to start the trial.
Note: Don't worry! The trial version can be used beyond the 3-day trial period indicated within the software.
2. Download Workshop Files
We've compiled all the necessary graphics and elements you will need to build your own animations in the workshop.
Please have this small Zip-file downloaded ahead of the workshop.
3. Watch these tutorials
These quick videos will give you a basic understanding of Camtasia and the cursor path feature.
Can I participate in the workshop without a computer? Yes, passive participation is also possible, although active participation is recommended.
Aside from a laptop, what else should I bring? A mouse and a charging cable for the laptop, and your lovely smile!
Is the workshop only about Camtasia? No, it is primarily about the process of creating animated SUI graphics, from conception to the finished product. Camtasia is used as a representative animation software, but the knowledge is transferable to other tools. Various tools are presented for creating SUI graphics.
I have an older version of Camtasia installed. Do I need the latest trial version? Yes, please install the trial version anyway so that the workshop files work properly. The trial version of Camtasia 2023 or 2024 can be installed alongside an older version.
I have already installed the full version of Camtasia 2023. In this case, you do not need the trial version.
Do I need Snagit for the workshop? We will simplify screenshots using Snagit at one point as an example and you are welcome to take part in this step yourself, but this step is not necessary for the overall workshop and it is therefore optional.
